Woes behold.

Lame title I know but its the content that counts rite? :)

I had been having knee pain for a few days last week. I could not straighten my right leg too much or my knee would give way. And there was a nagging pain at the side of my kneecap. I started to get very worried, could I have really aged that fast? I am only in my early twenties. One of my colleague also told me that she was suffering from knee pain and when she bent down, it would hurt quite a bit. Apparently the doctor told her that the tissues in her knee were wearing out quite quickly and she has to take medication or something like that.

This bit of information stressed me out. I do walk alot (apparently, that may have been one of the reasons why her tissues were wearing out)  and if my knee is hurting now itself, by the time I reach my thirties…. I shudder to think of it. The next day I went to buy a pair of sandals, (and they look very pretty if I may say so myself :) ) as my feet were hurting from wearing heels for a prolonged period of time.

I remember that evening I went for tuition. As I was returning home, I realised that my knee was not hurting at all. I straightened it completely and there was a tiny soreness but my knee did not give way or tense up alhamdu lillah. Which meant that it was because I was wearing heels all this while which made my knee ache. I was relieved at first followed quickly by apprehension. Does that mean that I can’t wear heels from now on? Or even if I do, I can only wear for short periods?

I feel quite sad actually. I had my eye on this pair of heels from Charles & Keith and I was waiting for my pay to buy it. But if I buy it now Ammi would probably chase me out of the house with a broom or something. (Okay exaggerated but you get my point!) :(

I went to Geylang to buy new clothes on Saturday. Office pants, blouses, formal shirts, I think I must have spent quite abit. But the excitement lasted a while only. If I had gone shoe shopping, the euphoria would last at least a week or two even. I am still happy to wear my 1 week old sandals. :) But I don’t feel the same excitement for anything else. Not that I hate clothes or anything… but… I just like buying shoes. I can wear the same clothes for 5 years but I have to change my shoes every few months! Or I will go mad!

Sigh. My name is Nurulain and I am a shoeaholic.
